A Sister’s Untold Journey Brought to Life Like Never Before!

Grete’s Metamorphosis: A Retelling of Franz Kafka’s Timeless Tale

Adapted by Ram Khatri using AI Generation | Illustrations by Sandipan Santra

Grete's Metamorphosis reimagines Franz Kafka's classic through the eyes of a sister torn between love and survival, revealing a brutal truth: when love is conditional and sacrifice becomes a burden, the price of survival may be more than one can bear.

I cannot make you understand. I cannot make anyone understand what is happening inside me. I cannot even explain it to myself.

About Ram Khatri

Hi there, I'm Ram Khatri. You might recognize me as the one who brought Franz Kafka's 'The Metamorphosis' to life in Nepali. Over the years, I've worn many hats – from managing editor to publishing manager – in the vibrant world of US publishing. Originally from Nepal, I pursued my passion for literature with an M.A. from Tribhuwan University, Kathmandu, and an M.S. from Pace University, New York. I'm all about stories that speak to the soul, especially those that champion diversity and underrepresented voices. Outside of work, I love immersing myself in conversations with people from all walks of life.
